nrod7
I have a leveling leg on a DN 368 that has been sheared off flush with the housing mount. I have nothing to grip to remove the threaded stem. Need to replace the leveling leg before i put on location. Any suggestions? Thanks, nrod7
cvending
I would try from the top end of the leg. You need yo screw it down until it comes out. Hopefully it is a front leg. Much easier to get at
rmorris1953
Spray it with PB blaster. Drill a small pilot hole as close to center as you can then follow it up with a larger one till you get a nice size hole that you can use an easy-out in it. If you are lucky it may screw out when drilling.
nrod7
Unfortunately, it is one of the back legs. Looks like I will have to bust out the drill. Thanks for the feedback. nrod7
Walta
Some of the legs have a small hex on the top that you can put a socket wrench on. If not look for a pipe wrench. The best penetrating oil is a 50% 50% mix of acetone and ATF transmission fluid. Heating the leg with a torch is not a bad idea. Walta

Walta Some formulations of ATF will not mix with acetone- you must use DEX II non synthetic, as synthetic DEX III will not mix with acetone.
