erugalde
Ok, here's the deal, I've been in this forum for a few months trying to get as much info as possible, I've found a National 474 combo for sale on location, with no commission, contracts or agreements, machine had been there for 9-10years. I've talked to the owner and the lowest price was $1300 Account is open Mo through Fri 7am to 5 pm, I haven't seen the sales records but I was told that in 2015 sales were $2700, 2015 sales $2500, (owner has records since1007)the location is 20 mins from where I live and usually drive around that area for other reasons maybe 3 or 4 days a week, so distance isn't very important, I know $2500 is kinda low but I just need some extra money, in general is it a good deal, or should I run from it, any opinions, what do do you guys think,I don't plan to get a lot of machines to make a living of this.thanks everyone for reading. QuikVend
Personally I wouldn't do it. It's going to take you awhile before you actually start turning a profit after you factor in purchase price. You're looking at just over $200/mo. gross, so that doesn't factor in your product cost or any other costs associated with operating a machine. I think you would be better suited investing that $1300 elsewhere. Keep an eye out for other deals, or even find you a machine(s) on Craigslist and go get yourself a few locations to get some extra $.

Sounds like a lot of fiddling around to clear $100 a month. Remember that for every hour you spend servicing this account, you'll probably spend another hour running around getting products to put in it. As snacks tend to have a shorter shelf life, you really can't afford to stock that much. If you read this forum, single snack machines are a bad idea and a combo is even worse as it will never hold as much inventory, thus reducing your profit potential. Your better bet would be find somebody that wants soda only and you should be able to find a very good used soda machine for much less than $1,300. Sodas will last up to ten months so you won't have overstocking issues and you'll have far fewer products to stock.

AngryChris
I believe the 474 is the combo version of the National 145 and it's old. There is no guarantee that the cooling deck will last forever and parts will only get harder and harder to get. I can promise you that I would never pay $1300 for that model. It's probably the oldest combo machine out there lol. The value itself isn't horrible for equipment on location if it does $2500, but I think you'd regret it in the long run. AZVendor
Having been there for 9-10 years it probably needs a complete overhaul including paint and a new front just to look current. The shelves are probably also grimy and sticky from all the oil from chip bags through the years. If it looks modern and has clean shelves then you are getting one that got more care and attention than most machines get from their owners.
