Ams sensit 1

Sensit 1 do not have home switches on their motors.

The motor stops when your item falls thru the sensor, or the motor times out.

That is the problem with that model anyone can walk by give the machine a shake and something will fall because the motors have no home.

That's like being upset because a 1960's car isn't fuel injected lol.  It was one of the earlier snack machines to have a drop sensor.  You can't expect it to be perfect.

The Sensit 1 & 2 are the only glass front snack machines without a home switches to ever hit the market.

When I have seen failed sensors the machine will not be able to see the beam across the bin and that will put the machine out of order.

In the very unlikely event of a no detect failure, X number of failed vends in a row will shut down the machine.

It is not a terrible machine just put it in an office full of woman and not in the truck drivers brake room.

When the sensors start to fail you will get out of order conditions that can be remedied with recalibration of the sensors but it won't last for long if the sensors are really old - which Sensit 1 is.

Can someone dumb it down a tad for me the newb? Ha ha.

I'm up to 13 machines now since starting a few months ago and id say most have a guaranteed vend, I think my LCM2 is the only one that doesn't. Anyway what is this home setting? So far thankfully my machines are working fine. I did get a couple calls in the beginning and was curious why the guaranteed vend didn't kick in. I looked briefly at settings to see if there's a test I can run. I can def see the red laser lights are on. But didn't really do anything and haven't had a call in 6-7 weeks.

Anyway... Baby steps....

If you have Goldeneye on your AP snack then you can set the machine to move any motor to it's home position (HOME) as soon as Goldeneye detects a dropped product.  You can also set Goldeneye to stop the motor as soon as a product drops (DROP) or set it to ignore the sensors and run every motor to home regardless of whether a product fell or not (OFF).  If you set Goldeneye to DROP then some spirals will be off home when you service the machine.  In that case you need to open the door and press the door switch to force the machine to home all motors that are off home.  If you don't do it when you have the door open then the machine will do it when you close the door and you'll have to reopen the door to retrieve dropped products unless you don't notice that they fell, in which case you will give away product.

When the motors are in their home positions, all the spirals will be in the same o’clock position.

Sensit 1 motors stop at random. A lot of people notice if one spiral is in the wrong position and assume that selection is out of order and will choose another selection.

To test your LCMs golden eye sensor remove the front product from a spiral, close the door buy the empty selection if.

1 The motor turns 360°and stops and pays out change= sensor set to off or is broken.

2 The motor turns 360° pauses turns 90° a few times and stops and pays change when a product falls in the bin.= Golden eye set to drop and working correctly.

3 The motor turns 360° pauses turns 360° and stops and pays change when a product falls in the bin.= Golden eye set to home and working correctly.

I do not remember seeing a way calibration sensor in my Sensit manual.

Please tell me how calibration procedure works.

I may never have seen a sensit 1 manual only 2 and 3.

HI All,

Thanks a lot for your help.

I got these two AMS 39s with  one of them having this serial number. If I am not wrong they are manufactured in 1993, question is if its sensit 1 can I upgrade to sensit 3 and is that worth doing it.

serial number is 0089-1133 B3

He is asking 400 for each machine.

Thanks a lot again.

It will cost you almost $400 per machine to upgrade.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Since it is manufactured in 1993  it has to be sensit 1.

Betson is asking 2395 for AP 123 refurbished.

Can I do the upgrade myself or do I need any expert mechanic to do it.I have no idea on how other parts of this machine are working. machines look clean , he is going to get the keys later today.

Thank you for your help.

There is some drilling to mount the new sensors, it also might include a new delivery bin. Call AMS with your Serial number(s) and they will tell you what is involved. If you know how to use basic tools, and have some patience, it's a DIY project. Instructions and templates included.

Please understand if you start with a Sensit1 and install a Sensit3 board kit.

You still will not have home switches on your motors so the motors will be stopped in random positions and people will be able to shake product out of the machine.

There is this guy who is selling royal 660,DN 5000  and AP 123s on craigslist but both beverage machines  are having property of Coco Cola tags. This guy has bunch of DN 5000s in his storage space. When I asked him about it he said do not worry about it.

I called my local coke rep  he said any coco cola machines remain property of them, am I buying stolen property?

Thanks for your help.
