smartvendnw
Any preference to which one is better? I need 2 and trying to decide. Both MDB, both guaranteed vend, both fully refurbished, both at same price. USI 3184 HR32 vs AMS 35-632 chilled snack Thanks for the input! Walta
The AMS but only if the AMS is a late sensit 2 or a 3 what you are really looking for are home switches on every motor. Walta
RBEvending
What specific reasons would you choose the AMS over the USI? Is it just the specific models he mentioned or overall you like AMS better? I've learned a lot on this forum and I really respect your guys input. I only ask so I can learn more and better make decisions on future machine purchases. Anacapa Vending
I have only have had 1 AMS sensit 1 and do not like it. Pros for usi: relatively affordable and free tech support Cons for usi: every machine we have seems to need different motors. I prefer APs
AZVendor
Either one would be fine but I'd use the USI due to the larger AMS cabinet and the chiller that you might not need. If you need chilled snacks due to a hot location then only the AMS would be good. I actually prefer AMS last as their door designs are kind of homely. smartvendnw
What's funny is I was leaning USI only because I have an HR32 iVend in one of my locations and it's a champ. Not a single issue so far and I like the dual coils. I know AMS is a good machine too so I thought I'd better ask. smartvendnw
So the AMS is earlier Sensit 2 and no home switches. So now of course I'm undecided between the USI 3129 and the USI 3184. The 3184 is what's pictured above. The 3129 apparently is 3-4 years older with a red display. Still MDB and iVend. The 3129 is $200 less in cost. Body style appears to be identical. Should I save $200 and go 3129 or buy newer and go 3184? I ask cause you guys know these things in and out. I'd hate to be the guy (sucker) who bought the "3129 nightmare machine" or something. Ha ha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Walta
USI did make a few machines that did have MDB but could not send DEX data I would avoid machines without both. I do not recall the model numbers but your time line sounds right. Walta
chris in bc
Both are OK machines, I would buy a National 158 or 168, both 4 wide machines. You can replace parts for a very low cost, add a bill acceptor.....but most importantly you can add a 7th tray from Vendors Exchange. I added theses trays to most of my machines and sell gum, mints, kit kats, cliff bars, and even laundry soap....the 7th tray is a money maker! I am also considering a GPL 160 but I guess it doesn't have a guaranteed vend so unsure now. Fully refurb I can get it for $1595. In my world that's a good deal. Seller was asking $1895. Thoughts? chris in bc
Vendors Exchange or D &S vending would be my first phone call monday for a refurbed machine quote! I just shop Craigslist and refurb myself and save! National machines are a piece of cake to get through doorways!
AZVendor
I would stay away from any of the GPL snacks made in the late 90's as their logic boards were oftentimes unreliable.
chris in bc
Very good point, stay away from GPL machines, National is the way to go $$$$$$$
