Coinco CT48 - Vending Door Issues

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I have recently purchased a used Coinco CT48 for home use and am trying to sort through an issue I'm having.

When I purchased the unit it did not have the coin mechanism and the vending solenoid was disconnected.  The previous owner would simply pull open a door when he wanted a beverage.

I found a Coinco S75-9800B and installed it as well as connect the vending solenoid.

When you put the correct amount of change in you can hear the servo activate and are able to make your selection.  The problem is that it doesn't seem to relock and you can continue to open and close the door.

I wanted to see if anybody with more experience with this vending machines has any insight as to what may be wrong and how I can correct it.

Thanks!

Jeff

I only remember that there was a little lever to the right of the right most door. If you wanted a free vend, you cracked the door open, and pushed that lever for one vend, it moved and clicked in place, then returned after the vend. I think it was spring loaded in some way.

The problems with CT48 almost always come down to a leaky soda gummed up the plastic doors and levers, and then someone forces a door open and the plastic parts crack.

I say take lots of photos and completely disassemble the doors and levers, wash each part one at a time.

Replace the damaged parts and assemble. By the time you are done you will understand the function of each part.

Thanks! I found one last night and ordered it. My manual refers to a plastic catch when reinstalling the seloniod. If I'm looking at the correct part I don't have that. Mine appears metal. Is something missing?

I also tried to manually move the black bar that the seloniod level looks like it would move but was unable to open doors 2 or 3. It looks like the spring for the can stop has been disconnected so it doesn't return to is standby position. Would that cause the slide rod or lock out rod to engage?
