joebob051977
Hey, I know it's been a while since I've been here. With the increase of the price of M&M's, I was wondering if anyone had changed coin mech's from 25 to 50 cent mechs. If so, what has been the effect? I have been seriously considering changing my machines over to 50 cent machines and would like to know whether it has affected your total profit. Quarter Master
Joebob, You might want to check out another discussion on that same subject-link is below. Also might want to consider reducing the vend amount a little. Check it out. http://www.vendiscuss.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=3119&forum_id=
Faith Vending
I think closing your wheel a tad is the way to go. People here would not use my machines if the cost was 50 cents. They struggle with a quarter. Sad but true. Just my opinion.
AmuseStar Vending Co
Interesting Jim. In my area, 50¢ sells are going good (not on candy, but toys). I hate to say this, but IMHO, 25¢ candy vending is gone as we know it. It can no longer be done with high profit. I think it no longer has a future as our prices sky rocket. Faith Vending
I do agree about the .25 cent vend; the economics of my area are not favorable right now. Most of my locations are candy, gum and nuts so with the proper vend the profit is ok.
joebob051977
Perhaps an alternative would be to keep gumballs at 25 cents and using a 50 cent vend for M&M's. I do agree that the age of 25 cents/vend is coming to a close. It's hard to imagine 50 cents a vend, but it would help vending be higher profit once again.
