EricD989
Hello all! My name is Eric and looking getting into vending as a side gig while keeping my full time job. Would like to start off small/slow with 1 machine and go from there. Any tips/advice would be much appreciated.

EricD989
I am interested in Snack/Soda machine or a combo.
QuikVend
Ok. I will tell you, you don't want a combo machine. If you very it into a decent location, you'll run yourself to death due to its smaller capacity. Not to mention most combos are imported and very difficult or near impossible to repair. I would recommend starting with just a can vending machine. Cans are easier to work with and have a longer shelf life than bottles. I would avoid a snack machine for now. Unless you have 5 or more, you're going to have an issue with outdated products. I have 5 now, and I'm still getting a few stales every week. EricD989
Ok thanks for the tip. I plan on looking up used machines on Craigslist. Main issue is how do I go about securing a location for my machines. I rather have a location secure prior to investing in a machine.
QuikVend
That is definitely the way to go. There is a subforum specifically for locating that will help, but generally you're going to need to speak with a manager/owner/decision maker and try to sell your services. I'd recommend doing some research around here on the forums before that step, just to get an idea of what you're getting into and make you better informed so you're ready to take that step.
