AMS Sensit II Problems

I've got an AMS Sensit II that is going through cycles of powering down and then powering back up.

To add a caveat, this circuit is overloaded in my opinion.  We have a Vendo 721 and a AMS Sensit II cold food machine on a circuit that includes a number of offices, etc.  When they plug in heaters in the winter this circuit will trip and shut off power.

In this case the circuit has not tripped.  The Vendo 721 has never lost power, however, the AMS has frequently cycled over the past two days and I have no idea what to look for.

The fuse box was replaced several months ago because the old one was loose and would often power down the machine, but the new fuse box is installed and works fine.

Today when I went on a service call our data logs show the machine was without power for some time (no power up log recorded on the CC unit) however, power in the machine was on, no health control was triggered yet some of the employees claimed they could not purchase drinks earlier.

I'm at a loss as to how to proceed.

It wouldn't surprise me that it is in the socket.  These machines are moved all the time.

How much work is it to replace the socket.  I'm not near the machine, so I can't picture in my mind where the socket is in back.  I hope I don't have to pull the housing, it's a pain to get back in.

If it's the socket in the back it can be a pain to get to because the compressor is in the way. May be easier to pull the bottom shelf for better access. I'd also recommend putting a 2x4 behind the machine in case they are rocking it and slamming it against the wall. I had this happen at a high school and they destroyed the socket. The 2x4 fixed the problem.

I got to the machine this morning and found that the machine had power to the board and all money handling equipment, except the card reader.

I thought the modem was bad so I switched it with another machine.  Modem worked great.  Began to look over the card reader, cables, etc and found a slight bit of strain on the MDB harness where it connected to the modem.  I've relieved the strain and reconnected the cables with no problem so far.  I think the modem was powering down and sending an alert that the entire machine had lost power.
