Anyone got a line on a Dixie Narco model 400 or 1200 refrigeration deck?

My Dixie-Narco 108/105-5 compressor died last year.  I tried a relay replacement but no luck.  Best i can tell, the replacement is a Model 400 (original) or model 1200 (newer replacement model).  Online I've seen them for around $300, was hoping to find it cheaper if possible as I got the machine for pretty cheap.

 

I'm located in Connecticut.

 

Any suggestions where to pick one up?

$300-$350 is about as low as you are going to find them new

 

If you still have your old deck you may get it repaired cheaper but 2 hours of labor, freon and maybe a compressor will put you ove the $300 mark

I worried that was the case.  I'd go with refurbished/used if I could do it cheaper locally.  Otherwise it'd probably be cheaper to pick up another machine at auction or on craigslist.

You won't be saving yourself any money and in the end, you will be spending more between another service call and another dead reefer going used? From an auction or craigslist machine?

Yeah, you're probably right.  Why bother getting another one with unknown life on it.I'll just get/install a new one.
