Magiccity726
I have a problem with a crane model 158. The display reads temp out of service "keypad 0 0. I just installed the machine at a location. The machine is outside but under an overhang but it still got wet from the rain. What can I do to fix the error code.
lacanteen
Might be a stuck button on the customer keypad. All of the buttons should wiggle a little bit. You may need to replace the selection switch membrane. Fortunately, it's an inexpensive part at around $12.00. Part number 7215019
Magiccity726
I changed the keypad and I still get same error. All the buttons are fine. It has to be the display board right?

Either the display board or the harness from the display to the main computer board

AZVendor
Or the logic board. Water + vending machine = blown board.
SCOTT1963
An overhang will not make your machine an outdoor machine. If you leave it like that this won't be the last problem you will have.
Magiccity726
Today I changed the display board and the strip that goes from display board to main board and I'm still getting the same error. Is the logic board the main board? Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
AZVendor
You probably have a bad board then. Email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom if you'd like a replacement sent.

Another long shot: Was the Sure Vend sensors added to this machine? I have seen them do some crazy stuff like this. On the right side of your board if there is something plugged into J34, unplug it. Magiccity726
How do I do a RAM clear? Also, roughly how much is a main board?
lacanteen
Hold <exit> then press <up arrow> let go, press <down arrow> until you see "clear all" Press & hold <code> will say "clearing" for a few seconds. When the screen changes from that you are done. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> As for replacements, I have an almost unfair advantage as a Canteen franchise. I have repairs done by Vendors Repair, and obviously keep spares. Do NOT get this item from Ebay. Check with GPL Distributors near you for an exchange program, or perhaps other members here. Where are you located?
Magiccity726
I'm in Miami. I have another crane 158 at the warehouse so I can take that board off swap it but I'll have to buy another one soon. As far as the RAM clear, that particular board does not work due to the error
Magiccity726
I changed the main board. It still reads keypad 0 0 and now it also says error DH. So to recap, I changed the keypad, the display board and strip that goes to the main board, and now the main board as well as the smaller board under the main board. I don't know what else to do. Am I missing something?
lacanteen
Is there a Sure Vend harness on J34? If so, unplug it. Try unplugging service keypad from the top of the display. D&H are also keypad buttons.
Magiccity726
Nothing connected to j34
lacanteen
Service keypad is all that is left in that chain. Your new error, D&H are also selection buttons.
