royal g3 troubleshooting question.

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a royal g3 10 column. I plug it in chain homes but when test vending any column the chain just keeps spinning without finding rabbits. Than I will get a sold out message.

I am getting a UEND error and inside of that error I have an EC error. Can this be fixed by a novice vendor like me or should I call in a pro?

Thanks,

Mike

That error means that the vend can't occur due to an encoder error.  When you get that error you first need to make sure that the chain isn't gummed up with syrup causing it to move too slow and triggering an encoder error.  This happens when the rabbit doesn't find the vend pawl in the time allotted by the logic board.  If the chain is clean and flexible then you need to replace the vend motor as the encoder is in the motor.

Email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom if you need a new motor for it.

I've never seen a GIII, ten column. Most of them have twelve columns, but that's not your problem.  I'm putting my money on your chain wandering, this can happen if the allen nut on the sprocket gets loose.  It's located on the right side and if it moves back and forth on the axle then you'll have found your problem.

He might mean 10 selection considering how a G3 and a 650 are both 12 columns as far as I know.

It can be difficult to determine what model Royal you have because their fronts can look alike with other model Royals so you need to always confirm the model from the sticker on the side/back rather than by guessing.
