AVT RAM 4000

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry to hear that you have an AVT machine.  They are a weird manufacture/rebrander that makes odd machines for specialty retailers.  Don't expect to get any tech or parts support from them.  Their machines are all MDB though so you can do a card reader on it.

Well, let's put it this way, there was someone from their company on this site a couple of years ago trying to sell off all of the parts for some of their older machines.  What does that say about their product support?  They aren't that old of a company and they were abandoning support for some that they had already sold.  It's not hard to come to a conclusion about them.  I believe they also went bankrupt in one of their ventures, left many suppliers hanging, and started anew with more vending machines and kiosks.  They are a company that builds primarily retail related specialty machines specific to certain retail chains.  That means that they don't make everyday machines for vendors to use and you can't expect much support for a handful of any one model.  Besides, they are too quick to jump into different retail channels and abandon others.

Here's an example: this is the link to the manual for your machine.  Do you see anything that resembles any other machines on the market?  This is too much like the crap that Seaga builds.  That company tries to reinvent vending machines but because they don't have market share, use imported parts, charge an arm and a leg for the few parts they have and have piss poor tech support they are one of the worst manufacturers in vending.

I am somewhat familiar with them. The original models had no drop sensors. If you pulled the trays out too fast, the weight of the product could pull the spiral off causing dry vends. Without a drop sensor, this caused a lot of unsatisfied customers. AVT kept promising that the drop sensors were coming but the truth is that they were giving up on the snack/soda market completely. The machines can't be more than about 10 years old but they have issues.
