putrevus
Thanks in advance for your help. I have installed Eport for vendo 721 but I am getting message made offline by vendor on Eport. When I am at location after restarting the machine or pressing service button it came online and I made credit card transactions on two separate days. The USA tech guys are saying the machine is pinging them and they pushed latest software also. I am at loss and so are the USA tech guys on why it is doing it. The signal strength is great as per USA tech and there is snack machine right next to it and it is working fine. Thanks again for your help.
Chard
What software/eprom version is on the 721? It may need to be updated as well.
putrevus
What software/eprom version is on the 721? It may need to be updated as well. How do I check it and if needs to be updated how do I update it. Thanks a lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chard
When the board is mounted in the machine I believe there is a hole drilled in the metal cover for the board. If you look through that hole you can see the eprom chip. It will read 12.1 ver XX. or 12.3 ver XX. That tells you what eprom version you have. We've had to update a number of our 721's to get them to work with card readers. The V21 series uses two different software versions depending on what model you have (coke vs. generic) If you have 12.1 software, you have to stick with it. If you have 12.3 software, you have to stick with that.

But it worked couple of times when I was there so is that possible if works once should it not work all the time. Chard
If it has already worked once I would have usa tech further trouble shoot their end of the setup. It is most likely to be their problem. Also ask them what software revision they require for the 721. If you must replace the eprom it is very easy. 1. Disconnet power and remove all cables from the control board. 2. Take off the board cover. 3. Use a straightened paper clip to gently pry the eprom loose from one of the corners of the eprom socket. (There is a little recess in the corners of the eprom socket for the paper clip) 4. Install the new eprom, making sure the chip is fully seated. 5.reverse steps to reconnect board.
