5591 over condensating

I have a DN 5591 that has been on location for two years. In the last week it has been over condensating. The delivery door flap is intact and closed. The door seal is intact. All shelf harnesses are sealed. What could have changed in the last week to make this leak out?

Maybe low freon that is allowing frost to build on the evaporator which then melts at the end of the cooling cycle.  Maybe higher humidity in the location than normal.  Make sure what seals the harnesses isn't rock hard, covers even the holes in the back of the power supply area and make sure you have drop sensors filling those holes.  Check if the drain hose came off of the drain pan.

Can we assume the symptom the water on the floor?

If so get in back of the machine and put a finger in the condensate pan next to the compressor.

If it is bone dry the drain hose is clogged or disconnected.

If it is over flowing the soaker pads in the may need to be replaced.

If this machine is located in a very hot and humid room, it may be necessary to add a heated pan.

Since the 5591 is prone to be shaken it is very possible it is no longer level.  If it is to close to the wall the compressor will run longer and create more heat that in return will migrate into the cabinet. Does it have the old compressor deck with the 2 lint free condensers? If so make sure both fans are running.

If you find the temp control is bad, the ETC is a fantastic replacement. Cut in and cut out are easily set. Has it own probe that can be placed in the cabinet. Cut out can be set at 36 degrees or whatever you want . The cut in can be set for whatever you want like 45 degrees for example. I have found them as low as $50. To install unplug compressor and use a jumper on temp control wires. Then put a male and female plug on the ETC. Plug the male into the plug where you disconnected the compressor and the female end plug the compressor in. Place probe inside the cabinet where the old temp probe is located. By setting the cut in higher the compressor won't short cycle. It will allow water to run off evaporator so it doesn't accumulate ice. Since you are measuring air temp, not product temp there is little effect on product temp.

This machine is located in an air conditioned break room. There is a 2x6 on the floor behind the machine and the machine is bolted to another 5591 right next to it. The drain pan is full to overflowing. It never has had the sponges in the pan. I 'bailed' the pan out on Saturday and my driver did the same on Monday.

I'm trying to get back there today. I didn't pull the delivery bin on Saturday, therefore I don't remember if is the double condenser unit. The gum in the harness holes is intact, will check for rigidity.

It has been many years since I had this problem and can't remember (age) but once I had one when you would close the door the delivery

flap wouldn't seal correctly. Make sure that flap is free and sealing. Some way when the compressor would run that flap would open a bit and let air in. Possibly a week spring or delivery chute isn't pushed in tight.

Dual condensers, both fans running. Dusty, but nothing out of the ordinary. Delivery door flap swings freely and seals well. No cracks in it, either. Gum plugs are pliable and plentiful.

Bottom hinge corner of the door seal had pulled out about an inch. Hard to believe this could be it, but we will see!
