Bulk slowing down??

Determined

Are your sales starting to slow down for the year??? I ran my route last week and several of my locations were way down. I had one that only did 25% of what it did the month before. It went from 40 to 10 for a month. Another I was expecting 130ish and I collected 67? Those are huge drops. Kids go back to school here in early August. I don't know if that had some effect on it or not? Some others remained steady.

I have dips in sales, not quite as large as those, but not all of my locations are affected by back to school. Bulk is prone to slow down in the fall/winter and will pick back up in spring/summer.

Depending on your area, it might be because of people on vacation before school starts. We've noticed this year that a lot of managers were gone over the last few weeks.

Back to School often makes a difference. But a lot of times sales drop after the newness wears off. Sometimes that one smoker that can't smoke at work gets another job! There can be lots of reasons sales drop after awhile.

If it was one or two places I could see the newness wearing off but it was several at the same time. We've also were having extreme heat and humidity here so that could be a factor. At one location they moved my rack. Literally the sales dropped in half or more.

I've seen sales drop every year for the last four years.

In Canada people carry very little coin as everyone has interact and visa.

It isn't worth investing in a system that accepts interact and visa to vend bulk items.

I'm not going to miss bulk once I'm finished with it.

I think cash is alive and well here in Tennessee.
