mawg
Is it a 50/50 split, or is one more popular? Perhaps it is a USA/Europe/Asia split?
AZVendor
What are you asking? Your question and your caption don't really make sense.
orsd
@AZVendor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CcTalk https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multidrop_bus Apparently ccTalk is another (bastardized) protocol that is MDB based, brought to you by the folks at ...drumroll please... Crane Payment Systems. @mawg Here in the US we don't use ccTalk for vending, only MDB, so I guess that it is a geographical thing. Most equipment and payment systems here in the US are MDB so use that if you are US based.

Neither here in North-Europe. No developer I have been in touch with practices the CCtalk-protocol
Walta
In the US CC Talk is very rare. CC Talk is not new I have seen it in 20 year old Wanzel brand airport luggage cart machines. Wanzel is a German company. The CC Talk coin acceptor in the Wanzel machine was made by munzprufer another German company. The bill acceptor in the Wanzel machine was made by JCM a Japanese company running on CC Talk. I find CCtalk interface in the Nayex manual and that is an Israeli company.
