Bill excepter

I have a beverage machine that I'm selling. It's been unplugged and empty for couple months. I've recently plugged it back in and it's cooling.  But the dollar bill excepter won't except bills. Is it because I don't have any cans in the machine?

Not Likely.  Do you have any coins in the coin mech?  If the machine can't give change, the bill changer won't work unless all your prices are set to a dollar.  The bill acceptor has no way of knowing that the machine is empty.

No I emptied that too. It worked fine when I moved it. So I figured I didn't do something right haha. In the morning I'll go out and fill the coins. Oh another thing is there's no lights on the bill excepter. Is that OK or a bad sign?

When you open the door, there should be a red light on the bill acceptor. Since it's not functioning, that light should be flashing a certain number of times, which then indicates why it isn't working.

This is one of the few times I will disagree with Moondog. Most Soda machine will stop accepting coins and bills when no product is holding in at least one sold out flap. Without knowing the make and model of machine you have no one can be certain of how your machine was designed.

I agree. My 501e will scroll "sold out" and not accept anything when there isn't any product in it.
