Approach for a barbershop

What is the best time of day to approach a barbershop? My barber approach feels weak and I always feel like I'm interrupting something when I go in. Who is the person in charge at these places? I usually just go in and there's a bunch of people just standing around cutting hair. So I just make a general pitch until I figure out who that person is. Any tips on improving my chances?

I honestly like the general pitch better. Let's say you go in and ask for the decision-maker but the owner or manager isn't there. You have instantly cut off your ability to get a machine placed by just talking to an employee.

I have placed several machines by just talking to an employee and if I were to ask for the "boss man" I wouldn't have gotten the location considering he wasn't there LOL but it's all up to you!

Keep me posted on how the different types of pitches go!

I just started aiming for barbershops, but I treat them like every where else, walk in, show a picture of a machine and say "who can I speak with to discuss putting in a machine like this..."

Could be wrong, but my observation so far...either it works or it don't lol. I never get the impression I didn't get a location because of salesmanship, more like because at that time at least, it wasn't meant to be..
