Magiccity726
i have a problem with 3 columns. One column doesn't work when you press the button as if the sensor doesn't work. One column says "sold out" when you press it but it is not sold out. Then when I press the selection next to it, the wrong column vends. For example, Mountain Dew column says sold out when it's not. Then I press Gatorade and the Mountain Dew comes out. I've had these machines for a while and never seen this problem before. Any advice?
AZVendor
The HVV doors have more buttons than columns. You need to program your space-to-sales setting so that you can dictate which button will control which column(s). Or you can simply buy each button and see which columns then vend and move the flavor labels to those buttons. You will likely have 8 buttons and only 7 columns so two buttons will have the same flavor labels. If you actually have no sold out columns then that column that shows sold out may not have the rear product spacer pulled forward enough to depress the sold out paddle. You could also have a bad motor switch on that columns that isn't telling the logic board that the motor is in the home position.
Magiccity726
Thank you. When you say motor switch, should I change the whole motor, or are you referring to the white piece that is connected to the sold out paddle? This machine has been working great for years. Could my space to sales have changed by itself?
AZVendor
It's hard to say if the space to sales has changed or not. You really need to map your buttons and see what columns they control. The motor switch is the white switch under the brown motor timing cam. Those switches are rated at 125vac but only have 5vdc running through them. As the switch ages it's contacts get tarnished and the 5v has trouble getting through which causes the logic board to not see the switch and triggers a sold out message as a default. You say this is HVV but does that mean you have the large 6" buttons on the door or are they just large labels in the sign face and you still have real selection buttons down the side of the door? If that's the case then the switch membrane behind the buttons has probably failed. When that happens the machine usually won't see column 1 at all and all the columns are thrown off by one in the membrane so that every selection vends the next one down the door. Let me know if you need any parts for it. rbepic4gatgmaildotcom
Magiccity726
It's the large buttons.
