Hi what you guys think about this machine! And how much is worth?

Dixie narco 276e HVV. Excellent machines. Can vend cans bottles and 16oz cans. If you're looking to buy make sure it's not a bottlers asset. Call the local bottler with the serial number to verify. If they're selling without the key fob that's a major red flag.

It's worth what you're willing to pay for it, but probably no more than $900.  I wouldn't pay half that, but that's just me. Trust me when I say that you will curse the day when that lock quits working. Also, since you have no business affiliation with a bottler, Tri-Teq Locks will not release much if any information to you.

The fact that it has a triteq lock would lead me to believe it's a Pepsi asset, which is not anyone's to sell but Pepsi.  You would be buying stolen equipment if that were the case.  Having said that, if you can have a normal lock put on the machine, it's good.  The triteq locks require a frequency to unlock.  Imagine having a car that can only be unlocked with a keyfob rather than a standard key.  If the keyfob stops working OR the electronic lock stops working, you're locked out.  You can get into the machine, but probably not without destroying it.  Those HVV styles have a reputation for being hard to break into.

With the Triteq locks Pepsi made sure that they would have secure machines and that any that made it to the used market would be a pain for anyone else to operate because the locks do fail and Pepsi isn't interested in helping anyone with the locks or lost fobs.  I wouldn't ever buy or operate any for that reason if they had electronic locks on them.  They are beautiful doors though the only flavor labels you can find are Pepsi flavors.  This door and this Triteq lock are only used by Pepsi even though Triteq makes locks for other machines as well.

I inherited 3 of them from a buyout. Only 1 is left on location. I have the tool to open a failed lock, if that tells you anything, and even with the tool and know how, it takes almost an agonizing hour to get it open. The cause of the failures have all been insects in the optic channel blocking the I/R signal.

I am trying to buy eight machines but that vendor said he will set me up the account with Pepsi if I need  so I can order extra keys online and also he was saying same key can be programmed for all HVV machines. Is it true.

Each lock will support 2 key types. A supervisor/service key works as a master key and will open all locks it is programmed to. A route key will open only the locks it is programmed for. Make sure you have your own master key or else the original Pepsi Company will be able to open your locks.

Please video your reaction for us when they tell you how much that costs.

I called triteq today and they told me master key and route key costs 100 dollars each. Once we program them no one else can open them.

Is that right price and do i need anything else.

Thanks for your help.

That is the right price and if you program a master and route key properly, it will be secure. Keep the machine level and keep the I/R optic tube for the remotes clear of spiders it will be fine.

wow, that much trouble for those machines, i stick to my seaga, gaines, and royal machines, always someone to talk to for help, parts are dirt cheap, and the machines are super easy to program, just got my 1st dixie narco 501, real pain in the @#$  !  i usually stay away from them, but i had to get this one!

personally dont go for the look, go for what you think you can handle, every machine is a learning curve, freeking dixie took me 3 hours to figure out how to vend 1 line! 7 to go! get something you would be able to service quick, in and out, use the key! make copies, and key all machines alike, so you're not fumbling for keys at locations, always carry extra locks, you can order them on ebay for cheap for sets.

Pretty much the same as everyone has been saying. Let's say it is a legitimate sale. When that lock fails, and it will one day, pretty much the only way to get it open is to cut off the door. Then your machine is trash. It's not worth any amount unless you're backed by pepsi, which won't be the case since you're buying it from a person. I wouldn't care if they were selling it for 100, that machine is a ticking time bomb.
