trwa0621
I thought it would be a good idea to put a small vending machine in the small office we share. So I found what I thought was a good deal and purchased a snack time/drink time vending machine with coin changer. When I first plugged the coin changer up it was a solid green. I put coins in the quarter slot there are four of them and one dime slot and one nickel slot. Once I plugged the machine back up it started flashing three amber colored lights. I found a pdf manual online for this coin changer, but in all honesty, I don't know Jack about vending. Can someone please tell me what to look for on this thing? AZVendor
Read the manual. Find the troubleshooting portion of it and look for anywhere that the LEDs are mentioned. Use common sense to sort it out. Your real issue is that you bought this crappy machine. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. No one on this forum would recommend any turn-knob machine for vending. They are sized and marketed to locations of your size but that doesn't mean they are good machines. Honestly, your changer problem is not un-common with these and is probably a simple fix. The coin tubes must have the exact NUMBER of coins in each tube and all coins must be flat. The nickle tube has a swinging lever in the bottom that activates a switch when coins are in the tube. Make sure it is doing so or the bill acceptor will be disabled.
Southeast Treats
If it's like most of those, it will dispense one coin from each tube for each dollar inserted. The extra tubes allow you to give all quarters or add nickels and dimes if your machine has odd prices. If you fill it incorrectly it will give too much money. Be sure that the right coins are in the right tubes to reduce jamming. Check that you have inserted the change tubes back into the machine properly (look for a diagram on the inside of the door). Be sure the tube with the empty sensor (usually a metal tab) has coins in it. Good luck. Like AZ said, these are not good machines.....
