darkinthepark
The cooling deck on my Royal GIII went bad and the cabinet got up to 104 degrees...the water was warm enough to make tea. I put in a new cooling deck and the machine is working fine now. Do you think the quality of the soda in the machine was diminished from cooling, heating, and cooling it again? I don't drink soda so I didn't taste any of it. Another question...should I try to fix the bad cooling deck that I removed? When I plug the bad deck it, the fan comes on, but once the compressor comes on, it clicks off after a few seconds. It keeps trying to turn on, then clicks off. Do you think the compressor is shot? The cooling deck was manufactured in 2002.
AZVendor
That is a bad compressor and it needs to be replaced. Your sods are probably fine if they were hot for only a day or so.
QuikVend
I would get it repaired by a professional. Always a good idea to have a spare to avoid down time and lost sales.
darkinthepark
Thanks for the info. Would replacing the compressor be about the same cost as replacing the entire cooling deck? The cooling deck cost 360.
