AngryChris
I have an AP 5000 that trips a breaker when turned on from the on/off switch. There is no coin mech or validator in it. It only trips when on so I'm assuming the cord is fine. Any ideas?
lacanteen
If it's the original OEM computer board, unplug the bottom right connector, which is 2 black wires and 4 white wires. Inspect that corner of the board because that's where the 110VAC is converted to 110 volts pulsed DC. A loose coin in the changer would blow the tracks right off the board right there. If the breaker is still blowing, follow the 2 black wires to the power box. Also, check your power cord to be sure it's not smashed from people shaking the machine. lastly, unplug the transformer.
