CoinCo S75-9800A Fails When Cold

Recommended Posts

[Machine is a Vendo48] The title kind of says it all. It took me a while to figure out the correlation, cause every time it failed I would take it out to work on it. When it went back in it would be working again. Give it long enough back in the machine and it would fail again. Each time I thought I had fixed it but I was very wrong. I don't want to hot wire the machine, I just want it to dispense a beverage every time someone drops a quarter in. What within the mech could be being affected by the cold? I've completely disassembled and reassembled the nickel return which works just fine when things are warm. Once it gets cold the quarters drop through properly into the tray, but no vend is registered. I would prefer to repair this one if possible, but if not I'm ready to buy a replacement. I just want it to work properly when people are visiting.

The S75 is a non-repairable dinosaur from the 70's and early 80'.  There are NO parts for them so you need to put a modern electronic coin mech in for starters.  Only after that will you know if there is a different problem in the machine.  On an old Vendo like that you probably have a relay box that holds the credit and then directs current to the selected motor.  The issue could be in there as well but the mech needs to be replaced first.   Email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom and I can send you an upgrade coin mech.
