Snack Man 2000
I have a couple of the drink machines that seem to be hard to close the door. I checked to see if the machine is level. The cabinet is level, but the doors seem to be sagging. Is this a common issue? The only adjustment I see is on the bottom leg.
AZVendor
You first need to get the door closed and then put a level on top of the cabinet. Level the cabinet while the level is on the EDGES of the top putting it on the side and along the back edge. Don't put it on the door at all. Once the CABINET is level then check your door. If it's visibly not level then you have to loosen the top hinge and adjust the door there. If the door looks level but you have trouble getting it to close then your problem is in the cage nut that the T-handle screws into and it's bracket inside the cabinet. Make sure the bracket is still straight and not bent from slamming the door. Make sure the cage nut is in place and not bent. Make sure the cage nut has it's beveled edge facing out and that it's not cross threaded. Lastly, loosen the bracket screws and adjust the height of the cage nut to better match the T-handle shaft. If you do have to adjust the top hinge to straighten the door then you will also have to adjust the cage nut bracket afterward.
Snack Man 2000
I j7st got a newer one today and noticed that tje door closes without any real effort. Maybe the hinges need lubed on the older ones?
AZVendor
Lubrication doesn't fix a sagging problem. The most common problem with CB500s and CB700s is the weak cage nut assemblies that bend and cage nuts that get damaged and stripped. You should put a dab of lithium grease on the threads of the nut. Snack Man 2000
I tried a brand new cage nut but it didn't make any difference. I can see the the T handle screw hits the cage nut very low. I moved the bracket down, but it still isn't low enough.
AZVendor
Then loosen the top hinge and move it toward the left just a smidge. Have you first made the cabinet level with a level? Use a short torpedo level.
Snack Man 2000
The cabinet is somewhat level. I used a regular bubble level. I will work on making it more level to see if this helps. Thanks
