TKK
Have any of u guys gotten into that business? Theres a local selling his route. 45 gas stops. Gross 166k you buy them at .90c and sell wholesale for 1.20 and 1.25. So you net about 45k. Works it 4 days a week since most statioms close at 3pm from deliveries. I could even move more product if i put them in my machines probably for $2 sale price. Just wondering if anyone here has ventured into it

gumball guy
I talked to them a few years ago as they were advertising heavily in my area. I actually rode with one of their supervisors who was running the route that was for sale (They had bought it back from the owner). I was looking at it as a way to possibly diversify and add another revenue stream to my existing business. Long story kinda short it was too demanding as a side job. This route had like 100 stops and they were not wanting to break it up so I passed. Daily trips to the warehouse, writing orders, waiting for the store personnel to check you in and out, keeping track of financials, making sure you have coverage for sick days and vacations, product promotions, stales, dealing with store management, etc... it is a full time gig. They seemed to struggle with turnover at the time which was a red flag for me. Another thing that bothered me was the packaging. Hopefully they have changed it but at the time it was incredibly plain and did not stand out in my opinion. I tried several of the snacks and they were all very good. They really wanted me to buy it and at the time said they would even consider waving the $10,000.00 fee and let me take it over. Bottom line is they needed someone to run the route and they were not having any luck finding the right person. Ultimately I turned them down. If you are interested ask to ride with the guy and see if it is something that may work for you. Hope this info helps.

The volume was too much for me to take on at the time without hiring someone to help run it. It sounds like you have a plan in place and it is a good fit for your business. I like the idea of incorporating their product into your vending program. Good luck with it and keep us posted on your progress.
