What sort of proposals have you all made to corrections departments?

In particular, what sort of revenue sharing do they expect?  Also, what sort of damages and vandalism can we expect in this sort of environment?

I have a customer with machines in a correctional facility.  He doesn't pay commission, and they are very strict about how the inmates treat the machines.  They are all right near the guard room, and they have signs the facility has put on them warning them to not touch, kick, or attempt to vandalize the machines.  The guards have keys to be able to open the machines and fix stuck product, or refund lost money to the inmates.

My customer makes a lot of money on the account, captive audience (no pun intended :-) ) and all that.

Obviously, all facilities are not the same.  The answer to a lot of your questions will probably depend on the rules there, and the environment those rules create.

i also no a person that does a prison. its a federal prison he makes a killing. Never any damages they are really strict on that. Thats all they can eat during the visits. the visits are usually 8hrs. Also can sell the  products at a premium. He does very good

I have a snack machine outside a correctional centre (coke has a drinks machine). I give 5% commission. I'm not too worried about vandalism. It is in the waiting area at the entrance and there are cameras everywhere there. It does most sales on weekends when I presume there are more visitors.

Prisons can be great location. If you use telemetry in your machines, it can be difficult to get the data because many prisons use cell phone blockers. If you are using telemetry, make sure to negotiate a window with the Warden where he turns this cell phone blocker off so your machines can transmit without error.
