Cigarettes

Recommended Posts

I have an army base that wants them. Here in Calif it's 18 if in the service and the building is guarded with high security. Seems like it would be a good location for tobacco.

Unless you want to flaunt the law, it can only be done in locations where minors are prohibited or you have to have a lockout device on the machine with a human monitor.

You are right about that. Wouldn't do it without the proper permits and licensing.

Yes, why? There are state and federal regulations to follow.

Just to make more money. I spoke with a state representative and they seemed very positive about it. They gave me the whole run down complete with surprise inspections and how long is reasonable for them to wait for the machine to be opened (10 min) [emoji15]

Hey Golfdogs, I'm torn. Was thinking of a counter top unit only so I wouldn't have to buy so darn many cigarettes. What is your take on it?

I was always getting requests for different brands/flavors. It gives your customers more options. You could always add sundry items or even candy bars to the product selection. I understand your reservations on having too many products! When the bar closed down, I was stuck with about $1500 in cigarette inventory.

I also have an AP  cs18 that is setup for cigarettes. It is a coin only model. I've got a heavy duty shelf to mount it to a wall. I always wanted to add a dbv, but never got around to it. I'll send you some pics.

Thanks for all your help Golfdogs. I'm going to hold off on the cigs for a while. My one location (military base) is all I can safely sell them at. I think I may just add them to the snack machine. I'm thinking wall-mount, credit card reader only - no cash.
