Chard
I have an older AMS Sensit 2 cold food machine that we are going to set as an ambient temperature snack machine. The machine has two door switches, one on the side of the evaporator which is mounted in the cabinet and the other is mounted in the door on the side of the t handle. What does the switch mounted in the door on the side of the t handle do? I've looked through the manuals and I can't find out what it does.
AZVendor
The one on the door is to put the machine in the service mode when the door is opened and the one in the cabinet is the refrigeration interlock.
Technivend
What AZ said! Unscrew the one in the cabinet so it is not made when the door is closed. Don't forget to unplug the heated glass too or it will get warm inside the cabinet. I would also recommend unplugging the compressor and turning the temp setting to 75 degrees. I like to unplug the refrigeration relay myself as a precaution. No sense leaving it energized drawing power from the board.
Chard
Ok. I've got it done except for the refrigeration relay. Do you unplug it from the board or elsewhere? If from the board, which plug is it? Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
Technivend
I usually disconnect at the relay that way if someone finds a harness unplugged and they plug it back in it won't re-energize the circuit. The relay is in the cabinet, behind the flap door. You unplug the machine. Unscrew about 6 screws and you will see it in there. Unplug the two small wires that energize the relay and button it up. If you want to do it at the board it looks like J3 based in the schematic that I have.
