nam
I never saw one until today but just bought 19 of these and it was a van load. Taking some advice from a couple more experienced vendors here in the forum and jumped in. Got these for only $50 a piece and several were brand new and had never been placed. The seller was leaving the country and needed them gone. He said he had most of these placed in bars and was bringing in as much as $150 a month in his better locations. What's the opinion of you experienced guys running these - is that possible? What are your better locations to place them? nam

Jax Snacks
Excellent Price on those Hoops! To clean them up, I would use Plastix on the globes, ArmorAll on the bodies and some black spray paint on the base stands. Jax
nam
Jax, I'm not familar with Plastix. Where would I go get some? I searched and found a link for stickers that you use on yours. Where do you put the stickers, on the globe or the body? Appreciate your advice - thanks again! nam

Jax Snacks
Plastix is used to clean and restore plastic and was designed to clean the rear window of a convertible. It also works great on our plastic globes. In fact, most cleanup supplies can be found in any automotive supply store since the materials on a vending machine are similar to many car materials. I place the stickers on the inside playing field bottom, sides and back board. Never place them on the outside - people will pick them off. nam
Jax, It's been awhile but have had a few convertibles and know that plastic rear window can be similar to our plastic cannisters, globes, etc.. Can't wait to try it. Thanks for the good tips and where to put the stickers! This forum is a real learning school for vending. nam
ROGERS VENDING
Congrats nam!! I never seem to find the major deals and I search the web like CRAZY. You didn't happen to find these in Arizona? I'VE HAWKED THE INTERNET FOR A MONTH FOR SHOOTIN HOOPS. IT'S ONLY ESCALATED SINCE JOINING THIS BOARD AND HEARING THE GREAT THINGS ABOUT THEM. I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING CHEAPER THAN $170 AFTER SHIPPING. I'm getting frustrated. I see GREAT deals on everything in the midwest, California, Arizona, northeast, and Florida.... BUT NOTHING ANYWHERE IN TEXAS!:X ...and I'm not just talking about Shootin Hoops... bulk candy in general Dont post great deals here, pm me;)

ROGERS VENDING
Brian, I've seen a few good deals in Florida and the surrounding states. I guess it depends on where you live in Florida. Like Texas, it can take a while to get across the state. I've seen Shootin Hoops machines go for about $110 a piece in Florida. I would have jumped on them if I were local. I'M WILLING TO PAY $120 A PIECE FOR SHOOTIN HOOPS. THIS MUST INCLUDE SHIPPING.... HECK, IF I GET DESPERATE I MAY PAY $150. Cheers, Jesse
nam
Yes, they were in Arizona. Texas is a big state but I'd be checking all your surrounding states as well. Actually, I'm not just checking ebay and craigslist. Shipping costs are a killer and haven't had the best success with shipping anyway. Some of these sellers have no common sense when it comes to packing. I google the items I'm looking for and if they are too far then I pass. Googling will bring up items on craigslist all over the country but other ads as well. It's time consuming to do but often go through 15 - 20 pages on each search. I search gumball, bubble gum, spiral gumball, and every possible word that I think someone might use in describing their machines. Then I email or call to find out more info and talk price. Two deals I worked on today fell through as we were a mile away from the price I was willing to pay. I always start embarrassing low. I can always go up if I choose but if I offer a higher price it's pretty hard to go lower. Sometimes they get insulted, mad or whatever. Sometimes they are still mad when I pick up their machines and they won't even give me a receipt. Have had a couple deals that actually tried to back out after the deal was made. I'm close to stopping my search as now have alot of machines and spending time cleaning and getting ready for serious locating. Alabama was a much better area to search because of so many cities within reasonable driving distance. Texas as well as most other states have endless towns with populations big enough to have people running ads. I'd rather be in Texas as far as looking for machines than where I am now. We bought alot of machines before we moved out here as knew it would be harder in Arizona. nam

nam
Darryl, We have had a pretty crazy time ourselves with knowing where we live. lol Came extremely close to being your neighbor. Actually spent three months in the Woodlands in our RV and got a storage area there and started putting things in storage as we planned to move to Texas not Arizona. We'd been going back and forth to Alabama getting the house ready to sell while we traveled and decided on where we wanted to live. Spent the better part of the year floating between Alabama, Florida, Texas and finally Arizona. Even once finally deciding on Arizona we had two residences for some time. I'm not quite old enough to retire yet but getting close. nam
nepavend
Great deal! There is money there, chinese buffets, flea markets, pizza places, bars (if they don't get destroyed) are all good locations for them.
nepavend
Sunday I had a cargo van rental and had 3 Beaver 5-ways, 3 A&A/NW 5-ways, 1 NW 7-way, a 4x and 6x sticker machine all in there, barely! My van stuffing skills are pretty darn good I'll say!
