Apple Leisure
I've changed the display cable. I get it to work easily enough by moving the cable and/or re-connecting it. However the issue keeps happening.
AngryChris
Sounds like something is loose on the display. Perhaps it's a cracked solder connection?
Apple Leisure
Do it think it could possibly be the display itself Chris? I'm not having any other issues.
AngryChris
If the solder is cracked, then it's "bad" in the sense that it's damaged. I'm no expert on the components, but USI 3015's are notorious for display issues and it was made aware to me that the problem is with the solder. In the USI's, the board is "bad" but a simple cheap fix is possible. Sorry, but I'm just trying to give a suggestion. I don't have much experience with bad displays as most displays last forever. Technivend
Chris is correct in stating it is probably a bad solder joint. If you know how to solder just touch up the leads that the main harness plug into. You have nothing to lose by trying.

Is it possible that there's a bad solder connection on the control board itself, at the point the display harness plugs into there?
AngryChris
I'm sure that's possible too. In fact, I had a Bevmax that was doing the same thing until it got upgraded and got a new board.
