vendtex Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Anyone hear any info on this? Someone "in the business" told me that a sale is to be finalized this week? I couldn't find anything on the web about it. Anyone know? Thanks.
AMD Snacks Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 There is talk in the Gopher hole forum that it's being sold to NEN
parrotthead Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I sent northwestern a message this morning and this is the reply I got Northwestern's last day of shipping is Thursday, March 23rd. Our last day of business is March 31st. I will forward any new request or order to the new owners when they take over. If you have an order here, please be sure we are doing our best to get it out the door before the end of business tomorrow.Thank you and it has been a pleasure working with all of you for the past 14 years.

QuikVend Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Here's the press release. Obviously, it makes sense for NEN. I'm just hoping it benefits us like guys as well, even just a little bit. http://www.vendingtimes.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=754303A430C54C2AA236B18E2C06AB17&nm=Bulk+Vending+Features&type=Publishing&mod=Publications%3A%3AArticle&mid=8F3A7027421841978F18BE895F87F791&tier=4&id=C6071F38682E48FA95B06B76A3BEB4D8
PerformaVending Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Wow, they're dropping like flies. TNT, A&A, now Northwestern. Fingers crossed there's still new "quality" machines to be had by the end of the decade.
rodney69 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 I think this will be a good thing. I believe they'll be back open with in a few weeks. A company that big I would assume would set up "lean manufacturing" and lower overhead cost.
BCB434 Posted April 21, 2017 Posted April 21, 2017 Pat on the back to A & A, although not selling machines or parts anymore there website finally has online ordering capabilities with prices and shipping quotes. Hopefully NW has some more competitive pricing and maybe starts offering refurbs like Oak.

musser Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 In as much as A&A Oak and Northwestern "look alike" parts and machines were cheap copies of the original work, I don't miss them. I do miss the real thing. Oak and Northwestern did not modernize their manufacturing and paid a price for that. But maybe the money was no longer there to do that because the income from their original work was siphoned off by knock offs. Just sayin.
