QuikVend Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 I've got 2 AP 7600 that I am going to need to replace the DBAs on. First one has a vfm1 and occasionally gets a bill jammed. It's slowly becoming more frequent, so I know it needs to be done fairly soon. This particular machine I am considering upgrading the board, it does pretty well. The other machine has a vfm3. I just placed it about a month ago, so still getting a feel for how well it will perform. Got a service call today for it. There was a bill jam and the motor was hot to the touch. Tried turning off the power to the machine and turning back on but the red light for exact change kept showing and it wouldn't accept a bill. This location could potentially be one I would upgrade the board with, but I want to see a few more months of sales before. Either way, the second DBA needs to be replaced asap. Are the VFMs my only option until I upgrade?
AngryChris Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 You can use a mars 110v such as a 2511 or 2501 as long as you have the right bezel. I think the bezel is called a vfm style bezel as I don't think the regular bezel work, but you can still fit one in there with a regular snack bezel as the coin mech will hold it in. You will also need a power harness since the 2500 series doesn't have it directly wired like the VFM.
