BlindVending
Have a royal 542 that had a bad thermostat. I installed a manual thermostat and all is well with cooling now. Since than however the machine randomly set itself to free vend once and than a week later changed the space to sales option to a completely different option number. I ordered a new board for it but noticed a yellow battery on the board. Would this be from the battery and I didn't need to order a board? Just curious. AZVendor
If the battery went bad you would just lose all the programming completely during a power outage. If the new board is working fine then your old board was probably bad. The only other thing to look for is bad florescent lights in or near the machine that could trigger odd programming issues. If any nearby bulbs are bad or almost burned out then this problem could reoccur. Why not install a new temp sensor? That way the logic board can regulate the temps and your temp display will work. Southeast Treats
If the board is going bad, could that have been his problem with the temp as well? Maybe the old sensor is still good....
