AC 400 american changer

hey I have a AC400 changer and it dose not seem to be working, i got it this way from a friend who upgraded to a AC500. when i plug it in the "sold out " light dose not come on, in fact it dose nothing as if it is not even plugged in. any help would be greatly appreciated, also if you have any parts please let me know because i am sure i would be interested in them.
