First Flat Machine - Need help

Hello all!

I have purchased my first flat machine.  I got it used as part of a rack.  I've got it mostly all worked out except for one thing.  I can't figure out how to get behind the front plastic sheet to replace the displays.

I don't know what brand it is so maybe y'all can help me identify it.  It's a 4 column, with ESD coin mechs.  It has a coin drawer on the bottom under the coin mechs.  The drawer allows for front access, and has two locks that have to be unlocked at the same time to open it.  The front opens at the top and hinges outward from the top with the hinge below the coin mechs.

I've checked all the websites I know of to see if I can match it with a brand.  I've checked allstar, brand, etc with no joy.

Any help identifying it would be appreciated.  Any help with changing the displays will be GREATLY appreciated.

I have some photos but  have to get them off the camera.  I'll post them when I can.

Well I just bought my first one yesterday too for $50 local. Let me tell you what I figured out but mine does not have the front cash drawer and I have 2 locks on the back door that swings down. My guess is we do not have the same machine but try this. I had 2 screws with nuts on them on the inside front. They seperated the top angled panel area from the bottom area. Both areas have plexiglass and a place to put ads or stickers. The piece I am decribing is like a trim piece with the screws built in to the piece so you don't see them on the outside. Anyway I loosened up the nuts a few turns and the trim piece slid sideways using a keyhole opening in the metal frame to allow me to take this piece off. Now I was able to remove both plexiglass panels and the sticker sheets. Maybe you have a trim piece like this. Check inside the machine for some set up like this.

The kids got a new camera for xmas and I took pictures with it.  I installed the drivers for the camera and when I attatch the camera, I get the blue screen of death.  So I don't think I'll have pix any time soon. :(

Looking at the bottom picture, that is the front panel that swings forward correct? I will mark your picture with the two spots and reference them inside(). Have you tried to slide (#1)the top piece that wraps around from the front to the back where the slots & chains attach. Maybe if you loosen up those few nuts it will slide. From (#2) it looks like it should slide out when tilted forward and when closed it keeps it from sliding.

I've removed the nuts and looked and there's nothing to access under it.  That lip is welded to the door, so it doesn't move either.  I've done everything short of removing the colums/mechs from the door.  But I figure if I had to do that to replace a display then it was going to be a bugger when trying to change displays on location.

Ok, you are correct.  I tried it again, and the lip came off!  It took a little bit of prying cuz it was rusted a bit.  I had tried it before and it didn't budge.  That's why I thought it was welded to the door.  Anyways, I don't have to undo any screws or anything.  Just open the door and pry off the lid.

Thanks for your help!

No problem, now we know how to do it next time. At least we figured it out without the directions. I had to study mine for a few to figure it out. Once I realized it was 1/4" plexiglass I knew there was some way to get mine off instead of flexing the plastic to get it out. Always a learning process. If you ever need to service the coin mechs I put some PDF's in the tools section to see how they come appart to change the price.
