Rowe 4900 bad mm validator module

Recommended Posts

The machine will not accept bill at all, and the coin mech works fine. I suspect the Lutech mm module has gone bad. Don't see any for sale at all, and Vendor's exchange says It would have to be fitted with a mdb board kit. They also said the power supply would have to be sent in and updated for the new board. I can't see spending a lot on this machine. Thinking about parting it out.

Oh.  I scrapped a 4900 and two 5900's.  The 5900's were in good shape but i am now rowe-free.  Only thing i took out were validators and coin mechs.

It looks like the boards are worth around $100 and the motors are cheap. I scrapped a full size drink machine today and got $26. This machine is heavy, so should get more than that.

It's all by weight and scrap prices are low since China stopped buying as much once their building boom ended 2-3 years ago.  You're lucky to find $85 per ton now.  I remember when it was as high as $200 per ton.  I have scrapped DN440s for as little as $15 since.
