Veikko T
Hello everybody! I'm new in here and I signed in because I need Your help. My AP snackshop 6600 has a weird problem accepting coins. When inserting money nothing happens. The display doesn't light and you can't vend. The only help is time. If you wait a couple of minutes, the machine wakes up and starts working normally, and the display shows exactly the right amount of money just inserted. Usually after this it works normally for a while only for doing the same thing again. The money validator or changer works perfectly because it registrates the money, only the Led-display stays silent and the front control board doesn't work. Can you say what is wrong with it? The machine is 27 years old, but otherwise well preserved and functioning. The biggest problem is my location: Finland. United States is far, far away and all spare parts are difficult to get. That is why I came here to ask you to help me. -Veikko, the lonely Finnish vending machine guy-
lacanteen
Check and monitor all of your voltages. First at the wall. Then on the main computer board, left side is plug P-1. Wires 11 & 12 should read 28VAC, wires 13 & 14 should read 12.6 VAC. A variance of 2 VAC is normal. If the voltage holds, but the machine still comes and goes, it's the computer board. If the voltage varies, especially low, you may have a failing transformer. It's also possible for a bill acceptor or changer to load down the board. Due to technology upgrades I have boxes of the boards and displays for this machine, but have no idea how to get it to Finland.
