Ramsep
I'm replacing a VFM3 with a VN2511 on a National 147, but came across this situation: the plug on the left is coming from the validator, and the two on the right are the only connectors from the machine. Other than using an adaptor, or modifying the existing harness that is coming from the VN, what are the options here?
Ramsep
The edit button on the original post has gone away, so I'll enter additional information here. I think it was an old Maka validator, not an VFM3, what I removed from the machine when I just got it. Probably I need a adaptor harness? This picture shows the machine harness from another 147 that had the VFM3. Thanks.
orsd
Yup. Mars 110v validators (VFM and Series 2000) use the square 9 pin connector. The 6 pin is for Coinco, and the flat 4 is for Maka. This is what you want https://www.dsvendinginc.com/p-4142-d147-1277-national-147148474476461463411430623627-validator-harness-mars-validator.aspx This might be the right one, not sure, your gonna have to call and confirm. Much cheaper though. http://www.veii.com/Parts-Store/Harnesses/HARNESS-VALIDATOR-110V-FOR-NAT-147.html
AZVendor
The flat one is power to the Maka and the 6 pin is the credit line from the Maka. Bob will be used by the conversion harness.
Ramsep
Thanks a lot, osrd and AZ. I talked to the local validator repair guy and he said that he's got one for 25 bucks. I'll be picking it up tomorrow morning.
