Chard
I have a client that wants to offer vouchers for some customers. Vouchers seem like the best solution, however they are very expensive. The client would spend more offering the vouchers then just giving a buck to everybody that wants a soda. I considered pay range, but having clients download the app to make just one purchase seems like a waste of time. Very clunky, very difficult to use. Any thoughts? Any leads on vouchers at a reasonable cost?
lacanteen
If you have a MEI CF7512 changer you can teach tokens for it. Tokens are inexpensive and will recycle for years. You can make the token a coin value or a free vend. Most machines have a meter to track token vends and the value of token vends. Make sure you use an odd size like .800 so they won't get confused for quarters or dollar coins. (.984 is a tad larger than a quarter)

Chard
The tokens seem like a great solution since they won't need to be replaced very frequently and the purchase cost is relatively low. I found a place that will sell tokens http://www.hoffmanmint.com/standard-tokens.php Can a MEI 7512 be setup to collect both coins and tokens at the same time with the tokens being sorted into their own tube? Yep. I set up several cigarette machines in casinos from coupons to tokens. The casinos gave comps to patrons then usually, the cocktail servers would get the cigarettes. Coupons got wet on the serving trays, hence, poor recycling. The vending operator would redeem the tokens back to the casino at the agreed price. Pretty sure you can direct tokens to a change tube by using a custom cassette configuration. Just remember, when the tube gets full, they will still go to the cashbox, plus it will essentially turn your 5 tube changer into a 4 tube. Also, be careful with the token you choose. I had parking tokens show up in my cashbox. It's a little labor intensive, but you may want to consider marking your tokens in some manner if you don't buy custom tokens. Anyone can buy the stock tokens.

Most folks go with the ones that are around quarter or dollar coin size, but there is one around the size of a nickel. Remember, if you are sending them to a coin tube, don't go any larger than 1.000". Also, the path to the cashbox won't allow anything larger. Half dollars, and tokens of that size will jam in a 7512.
