Any success locating with bulk mailing?

I've been thinking about sending a letter out to local businesses.

I have found some sample letters posted, and also  found some topics here regarding bulk mailing, but have not seen any results.

Anyone have any success in getting machines located doing this?

I've done some bulk mailing but not for the vending business. The percentage of response is so low that I can't see it being profitable here. The cost will eat your lunch imo.
