West Coast Vend LLC Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 The NBVA is coming to Las Vegas April 16, 17 & 18. I was wondering if any of the members plan to be there. I will be going to report on the latest new products and equipment. All the top manufactures will be there with new releases on vendible products and equipment. Here is the home page http://www.nbva.org Gary
nam Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Gary, I'm thinking about it but may have to go into hiding or borrow some money right about that time. lol If we came it would probably be just for the day. Vegas isn't our favorite place to go but might come just the same to see the new products. Not really very interested in new machines as I'd always be waiting for the used versions to hit anyway. Mainly interested in seeing new toys for caps., tattoos/stickers, etc.. Will there be alot of that or mainly the machine side of the business? How much is it again for myself and my wife to attend? nam
joebob051977 Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 As always, I cannot attend this year. NBVA Convention costs have to come out of my business and I am only grossing about $60/mo. Maybe in 2 more years.
Beer980 Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Gary stop by and see Carl Morcate from VenDynamics. They are the ones who donated a lot of the flat product for our Spring Fling fundraiser. He mentioned they would give our members a discount on product at the show. They are affiliated with the NBVA also.
MountainMan Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 I am not going to be able to attend. Same reason I suppose. I am earning a little more now, but I have to work my j.o.b. still. With the economy the way it is, I just can't plunk down the 2,000 or so for the trip, motel, food, etc. not to mention all the new product I would buy (probably not) LOL Maybe next year, if I can get all of the u-turns out.
MountainMan Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 My wife and I were talking about the benefits of arranging to go to the show, so I went to the web site and did some research. 175 dollars at the door times two of us and 130 per night for a room. Or join for a hundred bucks and then pay 135 at the door times 2. It would be better to join, which is likely what they want. I bet there is a lot to learn, but that is way to rich for my blood. I thought maybe we could do it at first. You know, stay at motel 6 and drive slow. Stay for 2 days instead of three, etc. Then I found out the price to get in. That blows the deal. I guess I will just have to bumble along like I have been.
Faith Vending Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Wish we could Gary. Take good notes and pictures. Jim
nepavend Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I'll be in Vegas in June for the USBC Open Championships, way too late to catch the NBVA show. I am about a year or two away from joining that and getting involved. I want to get into my local Chamber of Commerce first since their mixers and other gatherings are much closer to home.
