G-Vending Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 My fist question for the board: If I understand it right the bill acceptors works thru the coin mech. Right? If so is there any way to install a bill acceptor on the Ap cs-12? Looks like there in room in there to put it. Not wanting to put a changer on the outside if I don;t have to... If this is in the wrong place please move it...Thanks
Technivend Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 The AP C series will support a validator. They are usually mounted in the base cabinet. If you do not have the bse cabinet then maybe try a side mount cabinet for the val.
G-Vending Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 Can you hook me up with what I need to do this Cables & validator?
Technivend Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Do you have a base cabinet for the machine? I will check some manuals tomorrow and if I can find it give you a list of what you need. You may have to do some modifications of the harnesses though.
Technivend Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Hey G, Sorry for the delay in getting back with. I have been traveling this week and just got my head together to look this up. According to Mars (if it is an MDB controller) you would need a VN2502-U5M and AP harness 680576. If you want to go Coinco in MDB you would need a BA32SA with CC harness 407459-1. This is an old manual and the newer Coinco would be a Mag 32R or Mag 52R. Again, you need to have a spot to mount the validator and you may also need to get an extension harness depending where you are mounting it. If you need any further info you can shoot me an email at bill@technivend.com
G-Vending Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 Ok Thanks Now where can I find the AP harness 680576?
G-Vending Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 This is the end that is coming out of machine Bill acceptor has the same end
Technivend Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 That is not ab MDB plug. It's a good thing you haven't found the harness yet. Lets see if we can find the new numbers you will need
G-Vending Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 technivend: Did you ever come up with any Part # for me?
Technivend Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 shoot, I thought you were all set with this and I haven't been on the boards much. Mars lists the following: Val, VN2502-U5E Harness, Mars #112513041 or AP#680361 Adapter harness Mars #113749001 Now I have never done this install so I cannot vouch for the info other then this is what on the Mars reference charts. I had PM'd you the info of a Mars Dist in your area that should be able to get you the harnesses if they are still available.
