Thinking about getting out of the bulk candy business?

I'm giving serious thought to selling out and giving up on candy in favor of capsule and toy vending, sticker/tattoo and keeping the gumball business.  I know I'm a rookie to bulk candy vending but it just doesn't seem to make much sense to me anymore when compared to other forms of bulk vending?  We can make money with candy no doubt , but I'm coming to the conclusion that we can do better vending something else.

Candy is very expensive and our best selling PMM's is approaching a cost so high that we have to think about is it worth it?  We have to deal with the heat melting the candy, spoilage, ants, nuts going bad.  I'm thinking being a farmer has fewer issues.  lol  Compare this to capsule toys, stickers/tattoos and gumballs.   Gumballs still have some issues with the sun fading and maybe ants but they are also our highest profit item so maybe more worth the hassle to me more than other candy like PMM's .  When was the last time the ants attacked your toy capsules or tattoos?  The sun really isn't going to effect them.  They vend for more money which gives you a higher profit per vend.  They don't spoil so you can load the machines up to the top and forget it.  This means you can run your route less often.  I know some of the stickers/tattoos may not be good sellers but they still don't go bad and you can sell them as mystery mixes to get rid of them with having to throw it out like candy!

I'm sort of thinking out loud here but someone correct me if I'm wrong or are some of you thinking the same thing?  Someone please tell me why I shouldn't sell my candy machines and put the money in more Spirals, sticker/tattoo, capsule, racks, interactive gumball machines, DI machines, or whatever else beside candy?

I've had similar considerations. Still trying to get my feet wet in enough vending areas to know what will be best. Toy/sticker vending is very attractive though and may end up being a focus going forward. I won't really know until I cross that bridge though. Knowing it won't go bad--or get attacked by ants, is a large plus.
