davidsurvz Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I am starting to think about getting into Buzz Bites......... Any success stories? Where do we get the best price on them? Also since there are so many "Buzz Bite" machines out there for sale are they decent machines? I am becoming more interested in this since Mad Dog is out of the Buzz Bites scene with their biz-op. Is anyone doing well with them and are the "Buzz Bite" machines OK. I am thinking of buying 1 or 2 to try them out. I am willing to take some risk since I can get 1 or 2 used machines and get product for them. Anyone who has some Buzz Bites in their route please chime in. Thanks! David
deee_z Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 you have your right to your opinion, but i think they smoke a really big bite!
r1375 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 deee_z, why do you think that? Not knocking your opinion or anything just wondering why.
deee_z Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I do not care for any of the so called energy vending fad. It does not appeal to me an no one around my parts have them in their businesses. I guess I am old school and do not care for the new stuff.
davidsurvz Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Anyone who has experience with machines / product please chime in. I am really interested in this. I am going to check out the "Buzz Bites" forum to see what I can learn there. I just wanted to hear from anyone here who has any Buzz Bite machines how the machines are and how the sales are in general. I listened to the conference call. Keith said the machines tend to jam if they get moved around a lot. Has anyone had experience with the Buzz Bite machines? I have an opportunity to pick up a couple for cheap and I am trying to do my "market research." Thanks David Thanks for your responses!
deee_z Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Kelly, i do not need any advice from you. I have been doing well for a good while without the help of buzz bites or any other biz/op energy fad, thats all it is a fad. If you are that hellbent in love with this fad, by all means jump in and good luck, but I will stick with the old tride and true.
nepavend Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I have tried both kinds of samples (Mint and Choc) and I think the Choc is pretty good, but the Mint is wayyyy too minty and overpowering! I think in the right spot you can sell them in capsules in a regular vending machine for 50 cents. I'm thinking a gym, fitness place, 24 hour diner, truck stops might be good spots for them. I am considering doing it in a VERY limited way in certain stops to see if they sell decent and improve my numbers at those spots. I would never buy a bizop machine in a million years, I would use a Eagle Double or NW80 to vend these in capsules to eliminate the chance of a mushy chocolate mess in the machines!
Jax Snacks Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I am testing 12 break room locations right now. However, I using a NW60 capsule wheel to vend them and not the cheap junk biz-op machine. I look at this as just another new product and it may or may not work out like any other new toy, candy or tattoo. I will service them all in April. The key here is to test it first before sinking a lot of cash into it. I only have money invested in the actual product and can probably resell it on ebay if it bombs out. But I have ZERO money invested in cheap junk equipment and I am simply using equipment that I already have. I invested in 50 cent mechs early last year for some toy vending that ultimately did not work out, so these mechs may finally come in handy now. As the late great Ronald Reagan used to say, "Trust but Verify". I am going to verify before going any further and the trust must be earned (in quarters in this case). Hey Kelly, this could be the trickle down you have been waiting for! LOL! Jax
Beer980 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I saw an ad on Craigslist a few months back to buy individual machines from someone. I think they were asking $40 each and I thought about it then but let it go. Now I actually have a good customer requesting I put in a machine of them in addition to the triple I have there. Now I can't find a deal on a buzz bite machine or a single head with a .50 mech. Go figure. I would try it if I could get a machine cheap but I would rather avoid the added cost of caps. It would be nice if they could send out some samples of each flavor to taste them.
nam Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Beer, Here's an ad from Ebay that is ending today with these machines. Think there are zero bids and starting is $49 with only $19 shipping cost. I see these in ads all over. Usually trying to sell a quanity of machines and not one at a time. The person running this ad has alot of machines but you can buy just the one here. Check you pm for more that are in central Fl. with no shipping. Click HERE to view auction!
Bravo Duck Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Theres plenty of them on the BB website for $20-$40. http://www.buzz-bites-forum.com/forum/index.php?board=2.0
Beer980 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Ok that one on Ebay says they cost $342 a machine. That is like extreme Biz-op. What is so special about the machine for dispensing the bites? Are they stacked inside or just dumped in like gumballs?
nam Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Beer, What makes them so special is they can make you millions and buzzillions of dollars. nam
deee_z Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Nam, where do you buy the candy on the machines at?
nam Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I don't have any of these machines. I was just joking around. nam
Beer980 Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 The one guy had a buy it now for $65 or make an offer. So I offered $35 and he countered with $60 plus he has $15 tacked on to that for shipping. I am not paying that much for one of those countertop machines.
deee_z Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 don't blame you one bit Beer. Saw one yesterday at a local restaurant being used as a paper weight in the office of the place, it'll be a cold day.
davidsurvz Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 Well, it looks like I'll be trying out Buzz Bites. I won 2 BB machines with stands for $15.00. The seller also wants to know if I want some more machines and Buzz Bites product. I have to sort out the details but this looks like a great move for me as cheap as it will be to try it out. I hope it is a successful move. My regular job is slowing down and I need to supplement my income a little. I'll keep everyone posted. David P.S. If anyone else has useful information on BB machines or product please post. Thanks!
Beer980 Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I would take him up on the offer to try it and see how it goes in my area but the $216.00 case (plus S&H) is a lot to lay out. Even though the caps are more expensive they can be had at $62.50 bag (plus S&H) for 250ct. It would be nice if they offered a 250ct bag of uncapped product to lower the cost for starting out. That seems to be a problem with many Biz-Ops.
reel Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Geeeeeez Nam these must be the only machines you dont have, any paticular reason other than a full garage?
kawoodard Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 The primary success that I have seen is bulk vendors that add Buzz Bites to existing locations, especially next to or in combination with candy machines. Buzz Bites don’t seem to reduce existing sales and can add $10-$15 at good locations. The number one locations are blue collar company’s lunch rooms and places where high school and college kids hang out. The key is to place Buzz Bites in locations where the energy users can find them and they become loyal customers. I had a machine at a Booster Juice and smoothie bar and it did $40/mo. Another person had one at a Pizza Schmizza that did the same. Also, had a vendor that had a machine at a telemarketing center selling windows and siding, 80 employees, doing $75+ per month. The slowest places were retail where you are relying on walk by traffic as compared to employees or regular customers that become familiar with the product. Buzz Bites don’t have the brand recognition yet for a lot of walk by traffic sales, but when customers find them they really like them. Best energy value on the market, and by far the best energy chew you can buy. If you have a good industrial area in your city these lobbies and lunch rooms are really good. Troy Tyler owns CandyMan USA and has 1000 bulk vending locations. He has 100 Buzz Bite machines out and some do $2 and some do $50 per month. His average is $18. Troy also works with us and we use his warehouse in Kansas City, MO for some fulfillment services. He is listed on our Website contact page and you can call or email him if you have questions about his locations. His goal is to have 250 machines vending Buzz Bites. ttyler@power-upenergy.com (541) 990-5291 Cell.
