NickG
I am sorry if this topic is already on here, but I am having issues getting an ICT P70 bill validator working properly. When I power the coin changer unit on, the validator runs through its little self test and then errors out somehow because it shows the 3 LED's in front blinking, in red, a pattern of 3 blinks, small break, 1 blink, larger break, repeat. From the research I've been able to do, it seems like that error code denotes a purple sensor error. Though there is no good explanation of that or how to fix it that I've come across as of yet. Any help the community here could offer would be much appreciated. The validator is being run in the USA.
AZVendor
In the USA ICT is junk. Use Coinco or Mars.
NickG
Yeah, but if this unit can be made to work reasonably cheaply, I'd be grateful, I can work at the component level if anyone know what is likely to have died on it.
falls
ICT just says check for foreign objects on sensor or bill path and clean.Based on the description 'purple sensor error' I'd guess at here being a UV LED that has failed, or is somehow masked. I only have V6 acceptors, so not the same.
