caserri Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 To the best and brightest internet forum members representing any industry, I give you the following announcement. After many years in this business, I've come to the conclusion that it is time for me to depart. I just don't have that "fire" in me anymore. Some of you may already know that I have slowly been getting to this point over the last year or so. Well I have finally bottomed out. I have sold off the last of my machines and I just don't think I have it in me to make another go of it for quite some time. As such, I have been forced to take on a full time job to support my family. I put in about 70 hours a week. That doesn't leave much personal time for me to spend with my family, much less take care of this board like it should be taken care of. You guys and gals deserve the best environment possible to learn, teach and grow within this industry. I have been quickly reminded how tough it is to handle the stresses of a full time job and care or my family properly, never mind spending the time to ensure this board runs smoothly. Call me a perfectionist but my way of thinking is if you can't do it right, don't do it! During the past few months I have been solicited by several vending companies looking to buy this forum from me and I now think it may be the most opportune time to accept an offer. I was very picky as to who I would relinquish control of this board to. Obviously not to a biz-op. I was approached by a company that manufactures vending equipment in Europe and they made an offer that I felt was fair. The company purchasing VENDiscuss is called VenDeBlas Incorporated. They are a very well respected vending manufacturer serving Europe and based in Italy. Richard DeBlasio is the CEO and we have put together a simple webpage that they will use to introduce themselves to you all. Please take a moment to visit the page below. It has been my pleasure, no, my honor, to provide all of you this community space. It has been an adventure that I will not soon forget. I have made many, many friends here and I hope to keep in touch with all of you in some capacity. Your host, Steve Caserri VenDeBlasio Welcome Page

mrsar66 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 As one of the youngest members on this board I wanted to extent to you my deepest thanks. This board has taught me more than anyone will ever know. The knowledge I have gained will help me as I build my vending business , as well as when I progress though the world of business. Again thank you, and good luck with your new job. You will not be forgotten.

BluePlate Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 I used to work in the restaurant industry. When I fired a waitress, other waitresses would come up to me and say "I can not believe you did that! I really liked her!", the next thing they would say was "Hey can I have her Friday night shift?" Well "Dude, if you got any parts hanging around, give me a call........":D
antoniocinisi Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 grrrrrrr I was pi*sed.I was telling my wife how can he sell of his route when this board and him are the reason for mine?
alyssamma Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 hehe...very funny...you actually got me...it has been a while since I've been April fooled

nepavend Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 In Steve's honor, I will put out a single product, single gumball machine half full.
nepavend Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Very well orchestrated, very creative, I am now going to open a bank account in Italy to do business in euros with VendDiBlas.
T BIRD Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Steve you suck and I never really liked you.ROFL! Ditto!
vendnoob Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 That was rotten. But it was a good one. No one could or would run this site like you do. I'm glad it was a joke.
lurtsman Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Seeing it come on March 31st got me. Tomorrow I might have been better prepared. I was just thinking I was so glad I found this board before it was taken over by a profiteering company that would only see it as an opportunity to generate revenue and sell moderation powers and ad space to biz-op companies. Grrr I didn't get it until I saw several posts about "had me going", and when those posts kept coming I finally put it together. Hats off to you Steve.
nam Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Notice he still isn't fessing up? What are the rules on April Fools Jokes. Gotta admit it on April 2nd. ? nam
caserri Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 Notice he still isn't fessing up? What are the rules on April Fools Jokes. Gotta admit it on April 2nd. ? nam I'm not quite sure what you guys are talking about. Other than the unfortunate coincidental timing (April 1st) What would give any of you the idea that this is a joke? Steve
