Idiots Guide to Using the Forum? Put your questions or suggestions here!

I feel like a newborn poster here this morning but can't seem to find the correct area to explain how to use the forum.  Is there a section "Idiots Guide to Using the Forum"?

I would like to know how to delete at post when you've made a mistake?  What does "Ignore" mean?  I hit that searching for a way to delete my post this morning.  It was under Kellys post for Shootin Hoops.  Now wll I not see Kelly's posts anymore?  How do you turn this off and on?  If we don't have a way to delete our own post shouldn't there be one?  I'm a long ways from being perfect and some times wish I could take back what I've posted the first time I read the post myself.  I usally preview and give it a quick read but then don't see how badly I've mispelled some words until seeing it later.  Or maybe having 24 hrs to edit our own posts?

I see other people using the "Quote" feature and I don't know how to use it either?

How many of you know what the little symbols are to give someone quarters?  I played with those not knowing what they were.  I gave a couple people quarters and Antonio gave me quarters just trying to figure out what they were? 

Anyway,  I think we need a section such as "Idiots Guide to this Forum" to explain things to dummies like me or for us dummies to ask questions such as I've posted here.

Of course now is the time one of you guys will tell me it is already here and where to find it, right?

Plus I didn't know I was ignoring you. I didn't know what it meant or how it worked so we should have an explanation such as "Vendicusss for Dummies".   :dude:

You are too funny!!! I been laughing so hard I haven't been able to respond to you post with the "Quote" from me. How did you do that? If it's supposed to be a quote you shouldn't be able to ad new words to a quote. Too funny but this too should be changed, ya think?

I agree and this was right up there with Steve's April fools joke. Did you check your pm? I laughed so hard I was really rolling on the floor laughing.

I did check out the "help" section on more than one occassion. It doesn't explain in terms that I can understand about "quotes" or "quarters" and I was aware of the 1 hr time restriction on editing a post. I'm simply saying imo it should be longer or allow us to delete the post if we are the one who posted it.

Sorta like reading instructions on how to put something together you just bought.  You can read the directions but not really know how to do it.  At least that happens to me alot, not just here in the forum so maybe it is just me.  :?  I did look at the area for quotes and knew what it meant but didn't feel it said how to do it.  Now Kelly, smart like he is has sure figured it out real well!  He not only can quote but change the quote.   Does that mean it really isn't a quote?

I did not really call anybody stupid or an idiot. It was great and I loved it. It was a joke! And a good one too!

You guys just remember paybacks are hell. Wait til I learn how to use this "Quote" feature. Of course Steve will probably get the ability to add to or take away from the quote changed so you won't be able to do that anymore before I can learn how to do it.

This quote thing is not hard to do nam.

Now all of a sudden he wants to play with the knobs guys.

Next he will play with the alingment feature.

He will move on to making lists.

Things like total machines on Craigslist by area. He may start listing Ebay items in order of ending time.Rainbow text will soon follow if we tell him all the secrets.
