Another Vendstar deal question!

And now to consult the people who know.

I have been negotiating with this person to buy 65 vendstars, 20-25 of which are brand new in the box. There original asking price was 30$ per machines or 1950$ for the whole lot. I offered 1000$ which is 15.38$ per machines. They today counteroffered at 1500$ or 23.07$ per machine. I counteroffered again at 1300$ or 20$ per machine.  What do you think? Great deal or what? This is the cheapest ive seen them around here. What would you do? If i got these machines that would give me a total of 115 vendstars, and if properly placed could make a considerable amount of money.  with my current average per machine around 20 per month, that would come out to around 2300 per month minus expenses.

Sounds like a good deal to me and would buy them .   Try another counter offer at $1400 and offer it as a compromise to show you're willing to come up a bit more and they just need to meet you have way between your offers and you got a deal. I think it's a good deal at $1500 with so many new machines included. Vendstars aren't my favorite but I have alot of them and would buy more. Hard to beat being able to put machines on the street making money for twenty bucks. lol At what your other Vendstars are bringing in they will pay for themselves the first month on location. Can't do that buying anything else - especially new machines.

Thanks nam, Im still waiting to here back from them, they might take 1300$. We will see! Im very excited about this. today has been a great day for business. so far today, ive confermed that im selling my pop machine for 275$ more than i paid for it, and ive got a guy im dealing with right now who wants to pay me 175$ more than i paid for my snack machine, AND midwest has me delivering another vendstar machine to a location today!

I guess the only downside so far today is that it SNOWED over 6 inches last night! Its freakin april, where the hell is spring!!!

Spring is down here. 89 today and 91 tomorrow but then I guess that might be considered Summer by some standards. lol

Of course when it is summer you'll have the last laugh watching the temps in Phoenix go to 115 and being glad you're not here. Think that will melt my M&M's?

Rustinm I bought 38 vendstars for $1500/ $38 each and I thought I did great. I definately go for it. Reviews are mixed about the infamous Vendstar, however I've had very little problems with them in the 1.5 years they have been out. I like this fishing analogy. Blugill are considered a kids fish and not a desired target species. Pound for pound they one of the toughest fighters for fresh water fish. Vendstars are like bluegills they don't get the respect, but they perform.

That's a great deal and I would go for it. I've had my Vendstars out for a year now and only had to replace 2 chute doors. They still work like a charm. Some of the used ones were in service for 2 years before I bought them, so that proves you can get the milage out of them.

Look at it this way, you can keep a few for spare parts. Depending on what part you would need for a single globe machine, it could cost you up to $20. Plus you don't have to worry about corroding parts if you vend something salty.

ok, so the people e-mailed me back and as long as they dont get any other offers before the 11th, which is when they come home from vacation, they are going to accept my offer at 1300$! Thats 20$ per machine! I love these cheap vendstars, i have had my route for almost 2 years now, the only broken machines ive ever had was from vandilism. some people dont like them but they are easy to use and even if something breaks its either really cheap to fix or you just put a new machines in.

Let us know how it goes. Locating 65 machines could take awhile. Not to mention the cost of the product for them. Your route will start to look nice though!

NICE!! I hope you can get them. I bought some Vendstars a while ago for 55.00 ea (brand new still in boxes) I used to hate them but for as cheap as you can pick them up they are great machines they are starting to grow on me. I like the fact that I can get a triple for so cheap. People really don't care what kind of machine you have they will put quarters in them regardless.

$20.00 each is a great deal!

Ahhh! I just got an email from the lady who is selling the machines, they just got an offer for 1500$! SO whoever comes up with it first gets them! Im doing everything i can to get the money but this is very fustrating! I will have it by the 16th for sure but i need it like tommarow! I just need this deal to work out for me! Ive been busting my golpher trying to make this work! ok, sorry had to vent!

Man, don't worry about the extra $200 if you're in this for the long term. Don't lose thousands for the sake of $200. You've got an excellent deal for $1500.

I would let it go if I was in your situation. You still have 22 waiting to be located. If you were down to a few then I could see the panic. They may be bluffing you into paying more. It is two days past when they said you could have it for that price.

I think I agree with Beer man. If you already have 22 waiting to locate how long is it going to take you to get 65 more located?  Are you going to locate yourself or hire a locator?  That won't be cheap if hiring one.  No sense in having  them sit around collecting dust.

  Never panic in a business deal. The one who blinks first loses.  He is right they could be bluffing to get you to come up in your price.  I'd give it a few days to see if they come back to you. Worse case scenerio is they don't and you lose nothing. There will always be cheap Vendstars for sale. ALWAYS!

I just get a bad vibe from the whole deal but it is what it is. I just don't like a lot of machines sitting around my house unused and waiting to place. I have one rack and one sticker machine waiting to be located. I am not buying any more until they find a home.

I GOT THE MACHINES!!!! It has been a long couple of days, but i was able to sell both of my full line machines for 1100$! The glass front machines i paid 125$ for two days ago, sold it yesterday for 600$ and sold my coke machine for 500$! It was a two hour drive to pick the machines up and i stuffed my truck and a trailer full and then some! I am going to try and post a pic of the full truck in a little while!

Yes, i had nothing short of an amazing response from craigslist. My new found advice, if you can pick up a glass front pop machines for cheap,DO IT!!! I had more than 25 people call me on that one machine in less than 12 hours. I posted both machines at about 1:30 am and at 7:33am my phone started ringing! By the time i dragged my tired butt out of bed and drove 30 minutes to my moms where the machines were being stored i had 9 people that wanted to buy them, 5 of them wanted it sight unseen. Not to mention the 5 or 6 emails i recieved, on inquriy was a vendiscuss member! Does anyone know how to post a picture on here? I have a pic of my truck and my friends trailer all loaded down with machines that people might think is funny.

Take your picture of the truck and save in your computer. Create your post and then click on preview which will bring up your post and you will see a "browse" button to click.  This will bring up a box from your computer to select where you have stored the picture.  Probably in "My Pictures" or "My Documents".   Select that to have it upload to your post.  You will see the picture if it has worked immediately in the preview.  Now hit send and your done. 

Now lets see that picture?

i figured out how to do it but now does anyone know how to shrink the size of the pic, the file is 1.75 megabites right now, it has to be less than .57

oK, I think i figured it out, heres another try. Funny story too, i drove two hours with all this stuff in the truck and had no problems, and when i got out i had a steaming flat tire that you can also see in the pic.
