Hello, Im curious about gumball machines, like the wizards with a big globe on top that just vend 1 gumball for a quarter. Im sure there must be a thread on here somewhere on this subject already, so if you know of one could you please give me the link? Im wondering if they are a good investment or not and if they make good steady profits. I know gumballs are very inexpensive but what about the machines, what can i expect to pay for one? Is it possible to do a charity gumball machine like that? I have almost no info on them so any and all input would be helpful!

Thanks

Just like any other vending machine it all depends on location.  The next most important thing is the location, and lastly is the location.  You can have a wizard or any other interactive location break $100 a month.  It could be a $5 location too.  I think the things you want to look for in a location.

1.  High foot traffic

2.  A good number of the foot traffic kids from 7 years old to 14 years old.

3.  Visiable to the kids, with time for the kids  to beg their parents for a quarter.

If your going to dip your toe in, buy a nice used one.  See if you can place it.  if it goes well. Repeat.

Do you have any personally? Do you do it commision based or can you still do it through the nccs? What is a fair price for a decent used machines?
